A walk through the Indira Gandhi Rashtriya Manav Sangrahalaya with Dewanshu Dwivedi

Any exploration of India's important museums is incomplete without a visit to the Indira Gandhi Rashtriya Manav Sangrahalaya, Bhopal (IGRMS). The museum lies in an appealing natural landscape with evidences of prehistoric human settlement and covers an area of about 200 acres of undulating terrain.

One of the largest and leading anthropological museums in India, it offers the opportunity to explore the subtle yet artistic sensibilities of the rich Indian culture and heritage through its different exhibits.

This museum walk will cover some interesting open air exhibitions of IGRMS such as the Traditional Technology Park, Kumhar Pada and the Tribal Habitat. It will also cover the indoor galleries that are based on the lifestyles of different communities in India. Important museological aspects will also be discussed.
