A walk through the Ever Living Museum with Naphibahun Lyngdoh

The Ever Living Museum at Mawshbuit is located about 9 km from the city of Shillong. It is owned and operated by Mr. Kyntiewbor War, a former government engineer from Meghalaya. The Museum serves as an educational hub, fostering a deep appreciation for history while promoting cultural preservation and inclusivity.

The Ever Living Museum, encompasses not only the main museum but also a stone museum and a stunning garden filled with wild orchids, wildflowers, and indigenous fruit trees. The main museum showcases a diverse range of exhibits, including miniature tree huts of the Garos, bamboo huts of the Khasi tribe, traditional attire and jewelry of the different tribes of Meghalaya, household and craft items, as well as an intriguing collection of old Indian and foreign currencies and coins curated by Mr. War himself.

The Ever Living Museum, with its comprehensive range of exhibits and its celebration of Meghalaya's rich cultural and natural heritage, stands as a testament to Mr. War's dedication to preserving and sharing the treasures of his homeland.
